Color Matching and Painting a Kitchen Island in Pelham Manor, NY

Interest in kitchen design and function is enjoying what may be an all-time high. After all, there is nearly limitless opportunity for updates, customization, and incredible features that can be lined up with an equally wide variety of budget and style preferences.

One of the most popular trends today (and one we have written about before) involves painting kitchen cabinets. It’s a wonderful way to take full control of your style, selecting custom colors that are exactly what you’re looking for.

Recently we were asked to paint a kitchen island for a client in Pelham Manor. The transformation was a lot of fun to watch, so we thought we’d share some project details and pictures here. Enjoy!

Matching Colors

Our client wanted to match a color called Cosmopolitan, offered by Farrow & Ball. We used Benjamin Moore’s Satin Impervo, and after carefully mixing our closest match we showed the homeowner a sample. Upon receiving approval, we went ahead and ordered the rest of the paint for the project.

Changing the Kitchen Island’s Colors with a Flawless Finish

Our mission was to apply as smooth of a finish as possible, very much like the original that came from the factory. The pictures don’t quite do justice to the work that our craftsmen did, but the finish was absolutely immaculate when they were done.

And, most importantly, our client was very, very happy with the way it turned out!
