A.G. Williams Joins with Americare on Project at Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle
On Saturday, May 5 2007 A.G. Williams Painting embarked on an effort with Americares to help paint the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. One Senior Foreman and four master painters donated their services for a good cause. The 70-year old facility stands for the not-for-profit organization helping to provide opportunity for youngsters in the Westchester area. The Boys & Girls Club is a venue for both athletic opportunity as well as educational classes as well. The club sports classrooms and play areas for children as well as a computer room which holds classes on website design and training for teenagers including: college prep classes geared on teaching high school students how to apply to colleges, financial aid, and create resumes. Within the facilities stands a gym about 5,000 sq ft. A.G. Williams erected scaffolding and coordinated the painting of the gym walls using a special paint. Thanks to Benjamin Moore for helping A.G. Williams Painting match the existing Boys and Girls Club Blue and for donating about 40 gallons of paint for the project. A.G. Williams staff also helped train some of the volunteers on site in the proper safety and painting techniques as they were instructed to paint 3 stories of the facilities' stairwell.
