George P. Williams – President & CEO of A.G. Williams Painting Company
George P. Williams, President & CEO of A.G. Williams Painting Company with his older brother Arthur (Artie), started helping his dad out in the family business when he was a boy. As a young adult, he didn’t consider his family’s painting business as the path he would take and explored other options. But when his father and long-time owner, George A. Williams, became ill, George decided to join his brother in the family business.
At age 28, George and Artie began transforming A.G. Williams from a small, trade-oriented business into a large scale, service-oriented company. Annual revenues increased from $250,000 to over $3 million in just 10 years. He and Artie designed and oversaw the construction of their current office building in the mid-1980s. With his dad, he founded the GAW Management Company and became active in real estate investment in the tri-state area.
George is passionate about hiring and training painters to become expert artisans and craftsmen. The training and safety programs he and Artie instituted ensure that the company’s tradition of excellence is carried out in all its work.
An active member of the community, George served on the Board of Directors for the Holy Trinity Church in New Rochelle, New York, in the positions of trustee, vice president, and president. He was a trustee on the Board of Directors for Sherman Park Little League in Thornwood from 1996 to 2004. George has been a member of the Executive Association of Westchester since 1988.
George lives in Thornwood, New York, with his wife Theresa, and has two sons, George and Nicholas.
Arthur G. Williams – Co-President & COO of A.G. Williams Paint Company
Co-President & COO Arthur G. (Artie) Williams, is the grandson and namesake of the founder of A.G. Williams Painting Company. Artie began helping his dad, George, in the family business when he was just 11 years old. He honed his painting skills on Saturdays and summer breaks – he had no choice but to pick up a brush and help. By the time he was 18, Artie had become a Master Painter, learning his craft from the best in the business – his grandfather’s and father’s long-time employees.
In addition to his painting skills, Artie also is a gifted bass guitarist. Rather than going straight into the family business, he spent ten years on the road touring with the band Crossfire. Although he didn’t retire his bass guitar for another 12 years, both he and his brother George joined the family business full-time in the late 1970s to help their father.
Artie and George transformed A.G. Williams from a small, trade-oriented business into a large scale, service-oriented company, increasing annual revenues from $250,000 to over $3 million in just 10 years. They designed and oversaw the construction of their current office building in the mid-1980s. Together, the brothers grew the company to its current size and worked hard to maintain the company’s traditions of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Artie lives in Thornwood, New York, with his wife, Jane, and daughter, Emily Jane.
Paul Viggiano – Director of Marketing
With over 15 years of industry experience already behind him, including serving A.G. Williams full time since 2006, Paul has certainly grown up in the business of professional painting. His experience is diverse, ranging from estimating and project management to business administration. Most recently, he leads the marketing and business development team. In this role he has helped open the doors to many new clients and ongoing relationships. Paul is also an integral part in developing systems and procedures for the administrative and operations teams. He also manages the company technology, keeping the business relevant in the digital age.
Paul also takes his professional development very seriously. He is involved in numerous national trade organizations, helping him to stay on the cutting edge of the newest management systems to maximize project efficiency. This ongoing education also ensures that the best quality products are being used, and that the ideal technology is available to assist both those in the office and in the field. He also holds an EPA RRP lead-safe certification, allowing him to safely orchestrate and manage renovations that involve lead paint.
When Paul is not at A.G. Williams he keeps very busy with his work in a number of local charitable organizations, including Support Connection for breast and ovarian cancer awareness. He also has volunteered for over 10 years as an ice hockey coach for the New Rochelle High School modified team.
George A. Williams – Director of Business Administration
When George Jr. joined the A.G. Williams Painting team in 2012, he became the 4th generation represented in the family business. Prior to beginning work, George graduated from Iona Prep in 2008, and went on to play baseball at Eastern Nazarene College as a 4-year starter (becoming one of the team’s leaders by his junior and senior season). In 2012, George was inducted into the NCAA Chi Alpha Sigma Student Athlete Honor Society, and later graduated with a degree in Business Management. At A.G. Williams Painting, George’s main focus is the development of systems and procedures for the administrative and operations teams. He also manages the company’s technology, keeping our tech tools up-to-date in this ever-evolving world. In his free time George coaches on the freshman team at Iona Prep, and also stays involved with various business organizations and charities.
Doug Kitchen – Fairfield Account Representative
Doug Kitchen recently joined A.G. Williams Painting in July of 2010 as the Fairfield Account Representative.Doug began his career while in college, where he ran a home painting business. After working in the field for several years after graduation, Kitchen expanded into the wallpaper industry and opened a Stamford store, Ambiance Interiors (later, Ambiance Painting, LLC), that serviced area designers and home owners. A graduate of the United States School of Professional Paper Hanging and former president of the Westchester brand of the National Guild of Paper Hangers, Kitchen serves as technical consultant to Osborne & Little, a Lonon-based leading fabric and wallpaper designer and distributor. He is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and Painting Decorating Contractors of America. A former Marine who served in the Vietnam War, Kitchen resides in Norwalk with his family.
Liane Fiore- Customer Service Coordinator, Account Rep and Color Consultant
Liane Fiore was born and raised in Westchester, and later graduated from Iona College with a degree in business. Her career in decorating and painting began with a position as Facility Manager for IBM; one that she filled for 21 years. Following her time there, she became a Certified Interior Decorator and launched her own business. While attending a networking event in 2010, she met Paul Viggiano (our Director of Marketing) and began assisting us with color consultations. In 2013, George Williams Sr. hired her as a full-time saleswoman and the company’s official Customer Representative and Color Consultant. Liane currently resides in Westchester County with her two sons.
Tim Birecree- Accounting
Tim Birecree was born in Syracuse and grew up in Long Island. Tim is a Hofstra graduate, holding a BBA in Accounting, and later served in the Navy for over eleven years. Tim’s accounting experience is diverse, spanning numerous organizations, including hotels, restaurants, and a limousine company. Tim initially joined A.G. Williams Painting Company as a temp, but transitioned to a full-time capacity in 2014. He currently resides in Ossining.
Nicholas Williams – Resource Manager
Son and nephew to George and Arthur respectively, Nicholas joined A.G. Williams Painting in 2017 as a 4th-generation member of the family business. Prior to launching his career, Nicholas graduated from Iona Prep in 2011, then took his education to the next level at Fordham University where he graduated with a major in Psychology and minor in Business Administration. While at Fordham, Nicholas volunteered for the Fordham University Emergency Medical Services team (F.U.E.M.S.). Currently Nicholas is focused on assisting in operations and managing both the warehouse and the ever-growing A.G. Williams fleet.
Marcus Diaz- Human Resources Coordinator
Marcus Diaz was born in the South Bronx and raised in Westchester. He is a New Rochelle High School graduate, and a CUNY Lehman Graduate with a BBA in Business Administration. George Jr. met Marcus at a CrossFit gym where Marcus has been a trainer since 2014. Marcus later joined the A.G. Williams Painting team in July, 2016. He currently resides in New Rochelle.
Carey Hollander- Business Development Specialist
Carey joined the A.G. Williams Painting family in 2018 after working in the mortgage industry for over 25 years. He has held a variety of positions, including Sales Manager/AVP at Webster Bank, Sales Manager at Luxury Mortgage Corp, GFI Mortgage, Guaranteed Home Mortgage, and Vice President at HSBC. He was also the President/Owner of Patriot Home Funding. Carey’s experience and deep industry insight have equipped him with strong interpersonal skills; he enjoys nothing more than developing relationships with clients, ensuring that their specific needs are met.
