Exterior carpentry
Rot, failed trim, saddles, and damaged exterior wood repaired or replaced — including composite replacement where it will outlast wood — before paint goes on.
Fine carpentry
Wainscoting, crown molding, chair rail, and paneling installed and finished to suit the room.
Carpentry repair
Damaged trim, casing, and baseboard repaired or matched to existing profiles rather than covered up.
Wood refinishing
Interior and exterior wood cleaned, prepped, and refinished where replacement is not required.

An estimator inspects wood condition, moisture, and how far the damage runs, so the scope reflects what is actually there.
Written estimate
Carpentry and painting are itemized separately on the proposal, so you can see what each part covers before anything starts.
Wood first
Repairs and installation happen before finish work. Painting over failed wood only hides the problem.
Finish and closeout
Nail holes are filled and new or repaired wood is primed and painted to match the surrounding surfaces.

Most exterior paint failures start in the wood, not the coating. When a painter finds rot mid-project and has to stop for a separate contractor, the schedule slips and the scope gets renegotiated on the fly. A.G. Williams keeps carpentry in-house, so the repair happens in sequence and one company answers for that sequence.

The 5-year workmanship warranty applies to eligible residential painting work. Carpentry is not included, along with faux finishes and wallpaper installation. Your proposal states the coverage that applies to your project. If a concern comes up after carpentry work, contact A.G. Williams and a team member can evaluate the site and recommend how to proceed. Is carpentry covered by the 5-year warranty?

What happens if you find rot once work starts?
