Step 1

Immediately After the Project

Complete a Final WalkthroughReview the completed work with your crew leader and ask any questions before the crew leaves.
Follow the Crew Leader’s Instructions for Doors and DrawersDo not force, slam, or adjust newly installed components if they feel tight or resistant.
Keep Children and Pets Away from the Cabinetryuntil the crew confirms that the area is ready for normal use.
Keep the Area Reasonably Ventilatedwhile the finish continues to cure, following any instructions provided by your crew leader.

Step 2

Wait at Least Two Weeks Before Placing Anything Back Inside the Cabinets or DrawersEven if the finish feels dry, it continues to cure. Waiting helps prevent sticking, scuffing, imprints, and damage from dishes, food, toiletries, cleaning products, clothing, or other stored items. Your crew leader may recommend waiting longer depending on the project conditions.
Handle the Cabinetry GentlyOpen and close doors and drawers carefully, use the hardware rather than pulling on painted edges, and avoid slamming or placing pressure on freshly finished surfaces.
Keep Surfaces DryWipe up spills promptly and avoid allowing water, steam, or moisture to sit on the cabinet surfaces. This is especially important around sinks, vanities, dishwashers, and laundry areas.
Avoid Cleaning Newly Finished Surfaces Unless NecessaryIf cleaning is required, use a soft, lightly dampened cloth and dry the area immediately. Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads, harsh chemicals, or solvent-based cleaners.
Do Not Apply Adhesive ProductsAvoid installing contact paper, adhesive shelf liners, hooks, labels, or organizers until the finish has fully cured and the product has been approved for use on painted cabinetry.

Step 3

Return Contents Gradually and CarefullyAvoid overloading shelves or drawers, and make sure stored items are not rubbing against or pressing into the painted surfaces.
Clean with CareUse a soft cloth and mild soap diluted with water when needed. Avoid abrasive, bleach-based, ammonia-based, or solvent-based cleaning products, which can dull or damage the finish.
Protect Areas Exposed to Moisture and HeatUse care around sinks, faucets, dishwashers, ovens, and other sources of water, steam, or heat. Wipe moisture away promptly.
Continue Using the Cabinetry GentlyProper use and regular, gentle cleaning will help preserve the finish for years to come.
