Before the Project

Submit ColorsEmail all chosen paint colors to Liane at liane@agwilliamspainting.com before the project starts.

Electronics and WiringDisconnect all wiring from computers, TVs, stereos, and other electronics.
Electronics and WiringReconnection of electronics is the client’s responsibility.

Wall and Surface ItemsUse sticky notes to mark holes you’d like patched.

Cabinetry and FurnitureRemove contents from cabinetry that will be painted.
Cabinetry and FurnitureSecure or relocate large furniture items, such as grandfather clocks or pianos, from the painting area.
Draperies and CurtainsTake down curtains, draperies, and other window treatments before our arrival.
Pets and ComfortArrange to secure or remove pets from the job site during the project.
Pets and ComfortWhile we always opt to use low and non-VOC paints, if you or anyone in your household is sensitive to odors—or if someone is pregnant—consider staying away from the job site for the duration of the project.
Contact InformationProvide a phone number or other contact details where you can be reached during the project.
Document Existing DamageInform the crew leader of any broken or damaged items before work begins.
Document Existing DamageNotify the crew of any broken glass or damaged furniture near the work area.

During the Project

WalkthroughsPerform a walkthrough with the crew leader at the start of the project and on the last day to ensure expectations are met.
Painted SurfacesAllow freshly painted window sashes to dry: 4 hours for standard paint. 8 hours for oil-based paint.
