Preparation Checklist: Power Washing

Before the Project

• VehiclesRelocate all vehicles away from the building prior to our arrival.
• Windows and DoorsClose all windows and doors securely.
• Windows and DoorsRemove window screens, if applicable. (We are not responsible for damage to screens left in place.)
• Windows and DoorsBe aware of potential thermo-window moisture damage.
• Sensitive AreasIdentify and inform the crew of any areas susceptible to water penetration. (We are not responsible for damage to areas not brought to our attention.)
• Pets and ChildrenContain or remove pets during the project to ensure their safety.
• Pets and ChildrenKeep children away from the work area.
• Plants and LandscapingNotify the crew about any specialty or exotic plants that require extra care.
• Plants and LandscapingRemove or protect flowers, vegetables, or other delicate landscaping. (We are not responsible for incidental damage to flowerbeds.)
• AwningsRemove any canvas awnings before our arrival.
• Electrical and SystemsBe aware that we are not responsible for damage to exterior electrical sockets, alarm systems, or phone or cable systems caused by water penetration.
• Special CircumstancesInform the crew of any clogged gutters or leaders before washing. (We are not responsible for pre-existing clogs.)
• Special CircumstancesNotify us if your property uses well water, as it may affect water pressure.
• Special CircumstancesProtect fish ponds or other sensitive features prior to our arrival.
• Document Existing DamageInform the crew leader of any broken or damaged items before work begins.
• Document Existing DamageNotify the crew of any broken glass or damaged furniture near the work area.
